BEAR RIVER, WY—AUGUST 29, 2022–Multiple stakes sire Corona Surfer has joined Grade 1 winner and sire Bodacious at Woods Farm in Bear River, Wyoming for the 2023 breeding season later. Both stallion are available to see in Bear River.
Woods Farm purchased Corona Surfer, a Grade 1 qualifying son of leading sire Corona Cartel, last year and he will stand his second season in Wyoming at their farm. His fee will remain $1,500, with consideration.
A multiple graded stakes sire, Bodacious Dash (see related story) will stand for $2,000.
Corona Surfer is a full brother to two-time champion, Rainbow Futurity(G1) winner Uncle D ($689,165).
From limited starters in three crops to race, Corona Surfer has sired 16 winners, 1 black type, 5 stakes finalists with earnings of over $361,000 and average earnings per starter of more than $8,400.
