Evanston, WY – July 18, 2025 — The trials for the $30,000-added Young / Ford Wyoming Downs Derby delivered fast times and high drama, and Supreme Q Racing’s own Kissin Perfect made a bold statement—posting the second-fastest qualifying time of the day.

💨 Blazing Heat, Strong Finish

Under muddy track conditions and an 8 mph tailwind, Kissin Perfect, a 3-year-old bay filly by Kiss My Hocks, stopped the clock in 19.697 seconds over 400 yards, earning a 101 speed index. She finished just a neck behind top qualifier Kaseys Spirit in the final trial of the day.

Bred and owned by Jason L. Berry of Supreme Q Racing, Kissin Perfect broke sharply and showed early dominance before being caught in the final strides. Ridden by Jesus J. Canales and trained by Sergio Canales, the filly is clearly peaking at the right time heading into the August final.

🧬 Bred for Greatness

Kissin Perfect boasts an elite pedigree. She is sired by Kiss My Hocks, one of the sport’s most respected sires, and out of Perfect Practice, a daughter of One Famous Eagle. The filly has now won two of five career starts and placed second in last year’s Wyoming Downs Futurity. Her earnings now stand at $54,660.

Leading the field was Kaseys Spirit, a standout gray filly by KVN Corona, who posted the fastest time of the day at 19.673 seconds with a matching 101 speed index. Owned by CG Racing LLC and trained by Kylie Valenzuela, Kaseys Spirit is a multiple stakes winner with six wins from seven starts.
